The evolution of national and regional health legislation since the early 1990s has introduced new needs for health policy and strategy, which have made it necessary to adopt tools for assessing the quality of the services provided. For over 15 years, Explora has been supporting the activities of some authorities, with particular attention to the control of appropriateness and coding of the services provided by public or private accredited facilities.
